CREATORS
Writer and Director: Eli M. Ramraj has been studying filmmaking for over a year. He has a passion and talent for creating and analyzing films. As the writer of Black Amber and Black Aqua, he has always enjoyed creating new, unique stories and characters. He has also acted in numerous musicals and play productions such as Arturo Ui, School for Scandal and Sherlock in Sherlock Holmes. As well as Into the Woods and Beast in Beauty and the Beast. He has directed over five one-minute short films for his course on filmmaking. This is his first personal and serious short film.
Producer: Gaby Girard has a passion for the theatre, film, and acting. She has participated in the Greater Victoria Performing Arts Festival for more than ten years in the Speech and Dramatic Arts section and has now begun teaching younger kids. As an actress, she loves becoming new characters with new stories to tell. She has appeared in a couple of one-minute short films such as Escape, Blown, Lure, and Stain. She has also appeared in Musicals such as Beauty and the Beast, Into the Woods and The Sound of Music. As well as play productions such as Arturo Ui, School for Scandal and Sherlock Holmes.
Man/Double (Actor): Film and stage actor, stand up comedian, musician and singer, the multi-talented Sheldon Graham recently graduated from the University of Victoria with an acting degree. Sheldon starred in a variety of comedy short films in university. His recent stage production credits include acting and singing in "Ernie and Bethy” (Victoria Fringe) and acting in "Crimes of the Heart” (Phoenix Theatre). He signed on to act in "A Deaf Man's Symphony" in 2018, the first time a film he has starred in will screen at film festivals.
Production Designer: Satchel Ramraj's stage credits include The King of Hearts in "Alice in Wonderland," Azaz in "The Phantom Tollbooth," and the Beaver in "the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe." Also a comic book artist, he is currently creating his third self-published comic book. Satchel helped in many aspects of the production of this film, helping in creating props, clapboard and test shots.
Bartender (Actor): Actor, singer and musician Arianna Loy's stage credits include lead roles as Maria in The Sound of Music, and Cinderella in Into the Woods. She is currently playing Cheryl in the Taffetas. She also plays the violin, the flute, and sings. She is currently studying phycology at the University of Victoria.
Drinker/Bodyguard (Actor): Daniel Yvorchuk is a first-year student studying commerce at the University of Victoria, and is looking at pursuing a career in marketing and advertising. He was the lead actor in his high school musicals, The Sound of Music as Captain Von Trapp and Into the Woods as Cinderella's Prince as well as roles in play productions like Arturo Ui as Roma.
